We are located in the market town of Kendal, which is close to the Lake District National Park and Yorkshire Dales. It's a lovely place to work and live with good transport links and a great community.

We are proud of our practice which is not too big to be impersonal but is large enough to be flexible and embrace new initiatives.   We are not hierarchical and have a great Team spirit based on helping each other out.

The Practice has a friendly, loyal and experienced workforce complimented by newer, developing team members.   The Team includes GP Partners, Salaried GPs, Advanced Clinical Practitioners, Practice & Treatment Room Nurses, Healthcare Assistants as well as an excellent and supportive non-clinical team.

We are looking for someone to join us who is proud of their professional achievements and has the ability to deliver exceptional patient care.   You will be keen to contribute to this already successful practice as an Advanced Clinical Practitioner with a sound knowledge of both acute & routine illness. The successful candidate will be an independent prescriber; will have experience of delivering a telephone triage service, directing care appropriately and managing complete episodes of care independently.

The successful candidate will also carry out home visits, additional training given if necessary and will need a willingness to travel and be able to drive. We would like a minimum of five years of post-registration experience two of which are ideally working in a primary or urgent care environment. We would expect you to hold, or be working towards, a MSc in Advanced Clinical Practice. We are also open to hearing from you if you are an ACP who has completed the credentialing process.

In return you would be joining a friendly, hardworking and committed team who continually strive to improve services to patients. We encourage and support development or continuation of additional skills and of course will provide a comprehensive induction and training package.

Where ever you are in your career journey we like to hear from you so that we can chat further and explore the options. It goes without saying that you are welcome to visit us informally before making up your mind.
